Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
Lead educator for our 2.5–5 daycare classroom. Reggio-inspired environment, 1:8 ratio, hot lunches prepared on-site. Competitive pay, full benefits after 3 months, professional-development fund.
We're building a team of educators, caregivers, instructors, and support staff who believe early-years care can be done dramatically better than the industry default. If that resonates, we'd like to meet you.
The childcare and education sectors lose talented people every day to roles that pay better, recognise expertise more visibly, and treat the work as meaningful. We're trying to be a place that doesn't do those things — where the seriousness of caring for young people is matched by the seriousness of how the people doing that work are supported.
Our educators are credentialed and stay credentialed: ongoing professional-development funding is part of every role. Pay scales reflect experience and qualifications, not just years. We build classroom plans together with the lead educator instead of handing one down. And we genuinely listen when something isn't working.
If you have ten years of ECE experience and you're tired of being treated like a babysitter, this is the place. If you're newly qualified and looking for a team that will actually mentor you, this is also the place.
All positions are based in Nanaimo BC at one of our two centres. Applications open year-round; below is the current short-list of priority hires.
